Entrepreneurial Training Program Grants

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

The Wisconsin Entrepreneur’s Network has information about four business grant programs in Wisconsin.  One of these is the Entrepreneurial Training Program (ETP).  This is a course offered through the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) providing prospective and existing business owners with expert guidance through business plan development.

Coursework addresses legal and financial issues, staffing, accounting, record-keeping and marketing. Participants receive individual counseling and coaching on writing a complete business plan, preparing them to request financing from banks, investors and public institutions.

Participants can apply for a grant to cover a portion of the cost of attending an ETP course. Eligible costs are limited to the tuition charged by the SBDC. The maximum funding available is 75% of eligible tuition costs. Participants will be required to provide a cash match of at least 25% of the eligible tuition costs.
