Neighborhood Grants in Connecticut

Neighborhood groups in Ansonia, Derby, Seymour, Shelton and Oxford, CT may be eligible for small grants up to $3,000 through the Valley Neighborhood Grant Program. Funding is available for neighborhood fairs, beautification efforts, leadership development activities, parent and senior activities and more. Blockwatches, business associations, faith-based organizations, parents and youth groups are encouraged to apply. Non-profits that are all-volunteer or have a staff of 4 or less are also eligible to apply.

Grants for Individuals in Georgia

Jackson EMC gives grants up to $3,500 for individuals.  Any individual  in any of the counties served by Jackson EMC – Banks, Barrow, Clarke, Franklin, Gwinnett, Hall, Jackson, Lumpkin, Madison and Oglethorpe can apply. Grants cannot be for rent, gas bills, or electric bills, but it does look like they accept requests to help with other types of personal expenses.
