Grants for Arizona Small Business

Tuesday, November 24th, 2009

Hello, I am a recycled materials artist/inventor. I am in Tucson AZ and am producing product from recycled innertube material and it is getting ready to explode as a large company is getting ready to puschase a large order. This is all good and I can do this myself, but I am using material that would normally go into the landfill. I would think that there would be some sort of incentive for people like me but cant find any info. I looked at the EPA but didnt see much for me. Thanks
Bryan

  1. The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality has three waste reduction/R&D grant programs that are open to private companies. You can read more about the program here: http://www.azdeq.gov/environ/waste/solid/funding.html

With the EPA, you should be aware of the Small Business Innovation Research Program (SBIR) – they have a mailing list so you can get an email when the next funding round opens up: http://www.epa.gov/ncer/sbir/

    Hope this helps!
