Home Repair Grants in Ohio

Hi
I live in Marion,Ohio i am currently looking for help in the form of a Grant to do some Home Improvements i need a New Roof and Windows and Siding need to be replaced on my Home and Garage i am not currently working do to the Economy hardly anyone here is hiring my Husband works but we are not able to afford needed work and our credit is shot can not get a Bank Loan We are not Elderly,Disabled or Low Income so we don’t Qualify for any Government Programs i have paid numerous fees to sites that offer Grants to Individuals only to hit a deadend or Be asked to pay almost $400.00 to get the help we need i have been trying for over a year now with no help i have called our local offices and talked to my State reps no answers as to how to get the help

    Unfortunately, there are not a lot of options for you. First, according to my research, Marion is not currently a recipient of Community Block Development Grants so funding in your area is limited to begin with. In addition, home repair grants are almost exclusively for low to moderate income folks.

    You might try NeighborWorks America. I didn’t see any member groups in Marion, but you might recognize a city close to you. Their listing of Ohio groups is at: http://www.nw.org/network/Utilities/NWOlookup.asp
