Kids Club Grant in New York
Is there a grant you know of for Far Rockaway, NY? I am a photographer and would like to apply for a grant to re-start my Lai’D Bugz Club. I started last year w/a group of little girls, teaching respect for your family and others, etiquette, good manners…I had to stop because I am currently, still unemployed and the girl are still wondering if I will re-start the program. My program was funded by me, and it was non-profit. We went on local trips to Firehouse, Library, we had a coutillion dinner, where they were allowed to dress up and put what they had learned about table manners to the test. And they actually enjoyed it! So it would be nice to have a grant for something like this to continue in Far Rockaway, NY. There nothing like losing your child to bad influence because there’s nothing else for them to do!

Did you have an official nonprofit – 501c3 I hope? Is your exemption still valid? If so, there are probably plenty of grants for you. If not, you should really explore a partnership with a local youth organization because this sounds like a great program that could be a good fit for a larger organization. Maybe a Boys & Girls Club if there is one nearby?
