Mission to South Africa,Swaziland,Mozambique to vaccinate people suffering from HIV/AIDS/TB

Swaziland has the lowest life expectancy rate of any country in the entire world.  I am planning an excursion there to bring food and medicine to the people of this devastated land.

I have recruited individuals from the MA/NH area who are willing to travel to Africa and I am encouraging these individuals to fundraise on their own, but time is of the essence and therefore I present my plan to you.

We journey to Siteki, Swaziland from the nearest airport which is in Nelspruit, South Africa.  We carry with us HIV/TB testing equipment, medicine and seeds.  On our way, we vaccinate the people we encounter and hand out the seeds so that they can plant crop.  By vaccinating these people we could save their life.  We conclude our journey by traveling across the border, still distributing supplies, to Maputo, Mozambique where we board a plane and return to the United States.

The primary obstacle is to pay for passports and airline tickets for the individuals who wish to volunteer; and that is where you come in.

Finding grants for your group to do this is going to be almost impossible UNLESS one or more of the following applies:

    1. Someone in the group is a doctor.
    2. Someone in your group is employed by or otherwise affiliated with a university.
    3. Someone is affiliated with a church or other nonprofit organization.

Please let me know if anyone in your group meets one or more of the three points above so I can help direct you to a funding source.
