Child Car Seat Program
Monday, November 9th, 2009Project 8 distributes infant, toddler and booster seats to income eligible families across South Dakota as well as those who have children with special needs. Those interested in receiving a seat must show proof of financial need, such as Medicaid, WIC, or CHIP, child care assistance or Head Start enrollment to receive each seat.
All parents should contact the program nearest them as their child grows to ensure they are using the best seat for their child.
All Project 8 car seats meet the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 213.
Project 8 car seat techniciansĀ help educate parents about car seats and proper installation of each seat. They also help parents practice their new car seat installation skills.
