Grants for Low-Income Seniors in Rural Oregon

Mid-Willamette Valley Senior Services Foundation is awarding grants to low-income adults 60 and older who live in rural Marion, Polk or Yamhill counties.

Grant applications are available now to eligible people who live in cities with populations of 12,000 or less.  Every year, the foundation selects rural areas in the three counties to award a percentage of its fundraising proceeds to low-income seniors.This year, the foundation has $5,000 in proceeds from its golf tournament and a rummage sale and will award grants of as much as $200 each.

The foundation assists with needs such as home repairs, car repairs, medical expenses, utility bills and gasoline.
