Hurricane Ike Assistance

Galveston County has a 2-year contract for $99,503,498 with the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) to carry-out a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Disaster Recovery Program to address the effects of Hurricane Ike.

The County will provide homeowner repair, rehabilitation, reconstruction, and new construction for low to moderate income families.  Applicants should begin gathering personal documents and information that will be needed as part of the application process. The pre-application should be filled-out completely.  Once you’ve filled out the pre-application, you can call to submit your information to be assigned to a caseworker.
