Assistance for People with a Chronic Disease
Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009The Chronic Disease Fund is one of the few charitable organizations to provide direct and immediate financial assistance to underinsured patients with chronic disease, cancers or life-altering conditions who cannot afford the co-payments for the expensive medications they need.
Financial assistance is awarded on a calendar year basis to patients that have insurance and meet the income qualification guidelines. Each application for assistance is reviewed by a team taking into consideration income levels by geographic area, the number of household dependents and current out-of-pocket medical expenses. Patients may enroll in programs either directly through the Fund or through participating pharmacies. Patients are enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis.
