Home Rehab Grants

Owners of rundown houses in Anderson County, South Carolina, the city of Anderson and Belton may be eligible to get some of a recent grant of more than a million dollars in federal money.

Homes with serious safety concerns can qualify for the money in the county.  Those in the city of Anderson need to be in a low- to moderate-income area.  The homes need to be owner-occupied for both areas and other criteria apply.

You can download an application on the county website.  You may notice that their deadline says 2008, but this is a grant that is replenished each year and funding is available for 2009.
