  • Applicants for Emergency Home Repair Grants cannot make more than 150% above the federal poverty guidelines and in some cases not more than 35% of Area Median Income (AMI).
  • Consumers must receive at least three bids on any work to be completed, unless otherwise approved by NODA’s Chief Operating Officer.
  • Work must be done by a licensed and insured contractor in the State of Ohio.
  • Maximum Emergency Home Repair Grants are granted once in a person’s lifetime and are limited to $5,000.00 per grant.
  • Repair grants are given on one to four unit properties that are owner-occupied only.
  • All grants must be approved by the Loan/Grant Review Committee.
  • In order to qualify for an emergency repair grant, all needed repairs must comply with the emergency repair guideline sheets included in the attachments.
  • Grants require no pay back and have no deed restrictions attached to them.
