Property Tax Assistance
Saturday, February 13th, 2010Many cities offer property tax assistance. For example, residents in Needham, Massachusetts may be eligible to receive a grant to be applied to their property tax if they meet the qualifications for low income elderly or disabled as defined by Massachusetts law. Qualifications vary, but generally relate to age, ownership, residency, disability, income and assets.
Applications will be available beginning February 22 and will be accepted until March 10, 2010.
You can pick up an application at the Assessor’s Office and the Treasurer / Tax Collector’s office located at the Public Services Administration Building, 500 Dedham Avenue, Needham. Applications are also available at the Council on Aging (Senior Center), 83 Pickering Street, Needham.
