Jackson EMC gives grants up to $3,500 for individuals. Any individual in any of the counties served by Jackson EMC – Banks, Barrow, Clarke, Franklin, Gwinnett, Hall, Jackson, Lumpkin, Madison and Oglethorpe can apply. Grants cannot be for rent, gas bills, or electric bills, but it does look like they accept requests to help with other types of personal expenses.

my family and i just moved to the atlanta ga area and we need help,we need a place to stay,while we find work,looking in good area’s only we have 5-kids….please help wbs.need housing assistance asap looking for hud or section 8……wbs anyone please thank-you. Experience Works, a nonprofit organization, has funds available to help small businesses in Georgia grow by assisting them in the recruitment, training and employment of mature workers.

The program helps small businesses save recruitment time and money and training expenses by matching them with mature workers in the community who have completed occupational skills training for a variety of positions, including administrative, data entry, customer service, home health care, nursing and security.

Through the Experience Works Small Business Program, funds also are available to provide customized on-the-job training and ongoing support to newly hired employees.
