cholarships for teachers are available at the Sam Houston State University College of Education. The college is helping Head Start and childcare teachers continue their educational pursuit towards a bachelor’s degree. The grant provides recipients with $100 per course hour taken to assist students with tuition for one full year (summer or fall 2010 through summer 2011).

I am a veteran teacher in the final stages of a PhD in Education and would like to find some grants that would assist with expenses of completing the dissertation and to pay off student loans. I have applied for a few scholarships, but most are not very helpful and very specific to a certain program. My focus is on the Arts and their impact on learning and literacy. Any suggestions?
