cholarships for teachers are available at the Sam Houston State University College of Education. The college is helping Head Start and childcare teachers continue their educational pursuit towards a bachelor’s degree. The grant provides recipients with $100 per course hour taken to assist students with tuition for one full year (summer or fall 2010 through summer 2011).

I have a home in Harker Heights Texas in poor condition because of my limited income and health problems . I can not afford to do anything . The roof is leaking real bad and it has no insulation ,air conditioning etc. I can continue to live in it if I can get the roof fixed, I have tried the city of Harker Heights they have already given all the grants out. I have tried Habitat For Humanity and they don’t assistance this way which leads me to searching on-line.It is how I have reached you. I have pictures but I am running into a lot of fake sites.

I don’t really post a lot about scholarships or financial aid for school because that is a really huge category of information! I do like this site – Every Chance, Every Texan. This website has a comprehensive list of scholarships available, along with some grant resources and other information about applying for financial aid. So, if you’re in Texas, at least you only have to look in one place for the scholarships!

Galveston County has a 2-year contract for $99,503,498 with the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) to carry-out a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Disaster Recovery Program to address the effects of Hurricane Ike.

The Abilene Housing Authority is able to provide 70 homeless veterans with vouchers that can be used for housing throughout West Texas, as long as the landlord accepts them from the housing department. This is a first come, first serve program so if you know someone in need, please tell them about this right away.
